AION 2 Tier List
Our ranking of all 9 AION 2 classes for group PvE, PvP and solo play — an editorial synthesis of published tier lists and community consensus, checked 12 October 2026. Tiers describe demand and comfort, not a class you are "not allowed" to main.

What S, A and B mean here
S — content is built around this role. Hard dungeons assume a dedicated healer and a tank, so Cleric and Templar top group PvE regardless of damage meters: their slots are non-negotiable, and demand always outstrips supply.
A — strong picks. These classes raise a group's ceiling or clear solo content fast. You will never struggle to find a place with one, but you are replaceable in a way S roles are not.
B — clear everything, pick by playstyle. B tier is not "bad" — every class here finishes all current content with the right composition. They trade meta demand for a specific playstyle, and a skilled main outperforms a reluctant meta pick.
Two classes. The same questions.

Cleric
- Weapon
- Mace
- Range
- Ranged support
- Role
- Healer (dedicated)
Being recruited first, in every group, forever.
Chanter
- Weapon
- Staff
- Range
- Close range
- Role
- Support / buffer
Buffing a party from inside melee combat.
Cleric owns hard-content healing — cleansing, resurrection, shields — while Chanter amplifies the party from melee range with mantras. Easy farm runs tolerate either; raids recruit the Cleric first. One stacking note: the Chanter’s Undefeated Mantra and the Cleric’s Light of Protection do not stack, so groups run whichever aura the composition needs.
How to read this AION 2 tier list
An S tier means the content is built around that role: hard dungeons assume a dedicated healer and a tank, so Cleric and Templar top group PvE — not because other classes are weak, but because their slots are non-negotiable. A tier classes are strong picks that raise a group's ceiling. B tier classes clear all content with the right composition; they trade raw demand for playstyle preference.
Tiers also answer different questions per mode, which is what makes any single AION 2 tier list easy to misread: group PvE tiers track demand (how easily you find a party), PvP tiers track force multiplication (how much a class swings a fight), and solo tiers track clear speed and self-sufficiency. A class can be B in one and S in another — the Cleric is the clearest example.
Where does the Cleric rank?
The Cleric is the only class that holds S across group PvE and strong solo speed at the same time: as the dedicated healer it tops party demand, and as a battle Cleric its crit-reset damage loop farms efficiently alone — dungeon rewards scale with damage contribution, which a hybrid Cleric earns without sacrificing healing. Our best Cleric build guide covers the exact stigma loadouts, and the class guide walks the full kit.
Sources and freshness
This AION 2 tier list is a synthesis of published AION 2 tier lists (Game8, PlayerAuctions — as aggregated by community tier trackers) and class-demand consensus from r/Aion2, checked 12 October 2026 during the global launch window. Published lists disagree with each other on A/B boundaries; where they split, we follow the reading backed by role logic above.
